Taranov Digital

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Taranov Digital LLC ("Taranov Digital," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information. We are based in The Woodlands, Texas and operate a managed website platform for established local service companies.

1. Scope and Our Different Roles

This Policy applies when you visit taranov.digital, contact Taranov Digital, request a website review, become a customer, use an enabled platform account, or otherwise interact directly with us. In those situations, Taranov Digital determines why and how the information is processed.

We also host websites and process leads, forms, project content, analytics, and related information on behalf of platform customers. For that customer-directed processing, the local service company generally determines the purpose of the processing and is responsible for its own privacy notice, consent choices, and responses to its website visitors. Taranov Digital acts as a service provider or processor under the applicable customer agreement and assists the customer as required by that agreement and applicable law.

2. Information You Provide Directly

We may collect your name, business name, role, email address, phone number, communication preference, business website, service area, project details, messages, proposal and contract information, billing records, support requests, and other information you choose to provide through forms, email, text messages, calls, or project tools.

Customers and authorized users may also provide business facts, services, locations, photographs, videos, project details, reviews, website content, domain information, and account permissions needed to build and operate a managed website.

3. Information Processed Through Customer Websites

Depending on the features enabled by a platform customer, we may process visitor names, contact information, inquiry details, requested services, project locations, referral and campaign information, form submissions, chat or message content, call metadata, lead status, and related communications on the customer's behalf.

Call recording, transcription, chat, advertising pixels, or similar optional features are used only when configured for a customer. The customer is responsible for determining whether notice or consent is required for those features and for using them lawfully.

4. Information Collected Automatically

We and our service providers may collect limited technical and usage information, including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, dates and times, referring page, approximate location derived from IP, form or button interactions, security events, and diagnostic data through hosting logs, analytics, performance monitoring, and security tools.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to respond to inquiries; review website fit; prepare proposals and agreements; build, migrate, host, secure, and support managed websites; route and measure leads; provide customer accounts and project publishing; process billing; communicate about service; troubleshoot problems; prevent fraud and abuse; improve platform performance and features; enforce agreements; and comply with legal obligations.

When we process information for a platform customer, we use it according to the customer's documented instructions, the customer agreement, and applicable law.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Our website and customer websites may use cookies, server logs, analytics, security tools, pixels, or similar technologies for essential operation, fraud prevention, traffic and referral measurement, performance, and conversion analysis. The technologies enabled on a particular customer website may differ. Browser controls can limit some technologies, although parts of a website may not work correctly when essential storage or scripts are blocked.

7. Categories of Information Shared

We may share the categories of information described above with the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary:

  • hosting, content-delivery, DNS, security, storage, and infrastructure providers;
  • email, form, messaging, call-tracking, CRM, and lead-routing providers;
  • analytics, performance, error-monitoring, and search-measurement providers;
  • payment processors, accounting providers, and domain registrars;
  • AI providers when an enabled feature processes customer-supplied content;
  • contractors and professional advisors subject to appropriate duties; and
  • government authorities, courts, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

8. No Sale of Personal Data or Targeted Advertising

Taranov Digital does not sell personal data and does not process personal data collected through taranov.digital for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable Texas privacy law. We also do not use customer leads for our own targeted advertising. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notice and opt-out method before the new practice applies.

9. Customer Data and Leads

Platform customers retain their rights in their business content, leads, and analytics data. Taranov Digital processes that information to operate the customer's website and enabled services. We do not claim ownership of customer leads and do not sell them. Customers control their own sales follow-up and are responsible for the lawfulness of their communications and data use.

10. AI-Assisted Features

Where enabled, AI-assisted features may process customer-supplied project facts, text, or images to suggest structure, editing, metadata, classifications, or other improvements. We seek to limit these inputs to information needed for the feature. Customers should not provide sensitive or regulated personal data to AI features and remain responsible for reviewing content before publication.

11. Texas and Other Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, individuals may have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data, access it, correct inaccuracies, delete it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of processing for targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. Taranov Digital does not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Requests concerning information controlled directly by Taranov Digital may be sent to [email protected]. Please describe the request and the relationship or website involved. We may verify your identity and authority before responding. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to the decision with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.

If your information was submitted to one of our customer's websites, contact that local service company first. We will assist the customer with a verified request as required by our agreement and applicable law.

12. Data Retention

We retain information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing and securing services, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing abuse, meeting legal obligations, and maintaining limited backups. Retention depends on the type of information, customer instructions, the active service period, and legal requirements.

After a platform service ends, available customer content, leads, and business data are handled according to the customer agreement and transition process. Some information may remain in backups or records until it is deleted under normal retention cycles or retained for a lawful business purpose.

13. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information under our control. No system is completely secure. Customers and account users should use unique passwords, multi-factor authentication where available, least-privilege access, and secure methods for credentials.

14. Sensitive Information

Do not submit payment card numbers, financial account credentials, government identifiers, health information, precise geolocation, biometric information, children's data, or other sensitive or regulated personal information through ordinary website forms, email, chat, text message, project publishing, or AI features unless an appropriate workflow has been expressly agreed.

15. Children

Taranov Digital's website, platform accounts, and business services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

16. Processing Locations

We are based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we use contractual or other measures intended to support lawful transfers.

17. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as our platform, vendors, and legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise stated or required by law.
